AJ Owens, LCSW (he/him)
Hello, I’m AJ Owens, and I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Therapy with me is straightforward, conversational, and collaborative. Most importantly, you’re the expert on your own experience. My practice is 100% telehealth, so if you’re anywhere in Indiana, we can meet from the comfort of your own space.
I work with teens and adults, specializing in mood disorders like depression and anxiety, as well as LGBTQ+/Queer/Trans-Affirming care. I’m outspoken about human rights and welcome honest conversations about identity, politics, and the stress of living in today’s world. My style is supportive, never “stuffy,” and I want you to feel safe being fully yourself.
I use evidence-based approaches like ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help you better understand yourself, build coping skills, and make meaningful changes to your life. No matter what you’re dealing with, you’ll find a partner here to help you through it.
